Day in the Nowhere

I wanted to write a poem about flowers and otters and secret passages to fairy kingdoms, but I was too tired to have any rhymes in me.

So today you can just have these pictures, and maybe they can speak for themselves.

Beach Please

I haven't been the mermaid I usually am this summer.

But that doesn't mean that this summer has been any worse.

I've been collecting little sweet memories like sea shells on the beach.

And although it's been rocky at times,

I wouldn't change what I have for anything in the world.

Because these memories are mine, and mine only.

And I'm proud of what I can create even when I'm not the mermaid I usually am.

So there was this YSA event in Tampere, which I organized with my cuz, and some other cool people who came and helped us out. I played music all evening and had some sick moves on the dance floor.

This blog post is stupid. But I had a lot of fun, and I want to remember this day.

So here you go.

Slumber

A fog stretched itself from the valleys onto the hills, clawing the leafy trees. The sun was far gone behind the distant mountains, and there was a howl to the wind. Not its usual sound. Not mellow, or kindly, but prickly with an urgency of thousand restless souls.

Their arms stretched out from the mist, but they were slaves to the night, and human eyes weren't ready for the darkness' horrors. Not yet.

While tendrils of black smoke were rising, and black waves crashing, the goddess of death placed her foot on their doorstep. But they were in a deep slumber.

**LIFE UPDATE**

Regular chapters of A Raveling Night will continue on 1st of August, after camp nanowrimo. You can follow my camp nanowrimo adventures on my instagram: @storyworldofem

I apologize for my lack of activity on here.... and everywhere basically :D I've been depressed and unable to do anything creative, or pretty much anything at all, for a very long time, and I'm still struggling a bit. So I might disappear sometimes.

But it doesn't matter how many times you fail. It only matters how many times you try again.

Hope your summer is warm and sunny, with some nice rainy reading days sprinkled in as well.

Have a great week!
